Lime is hiring an In-field Mechanic to join our field support Operations team! In this role, you’ll report into the in-warehouse and will be a vital member to the team by maintaining the operational excellence of our fleet within Paris.
The ideal candidate will have a mechanical background and be willing to roll up their sleeves and repair our vehicles in the field. You’re also a natural problem solver and enjoy fixing things. You're energized about building and being part of a forward-thinking organization and work well independently and on a team.
What you’ll do:
Identify issues and perform small repairs and quick fixes on vehicles (including but not limited to brake lever adjustments, brake adjustments, tire inflation, vehicle cleaning, …), ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
Address and resolve city requests related to stickers, reflectors, and other minor issues.
Repark vehicles as required to ensure orderly distribution across the city.
Conduct foot patrols in designated zones to ensure parking compliance within mandatory zones as set by the city's infrastructure.
Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure preventive maintenance and retrieval tasks are carried out efficiently.
Identify/resolve issues with swap stations and perform repairs if needed, ensuring they remain operational.
Assist with any other demands associated with the service.
Identifying and reporting issues/abnormal situations related to the service and product on the ground.
About you:
Previous experience as a mechanic or similar role, demonstrating familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform quick and efficient repairs.
Adaptability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including winter.
Adaptability to work indoors in line with company needs and objectives.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to structure and manage daily tasks using provided tools and apps.
A safety-oriented mindset, capable of conducting rigorous quality checks.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to interact with team members, riders, and city officials.
Comfortable with riding a bike.
Driving license if cars/vans used for the market instead of bikes.
