YOUR ROLE AT MIRATERRA
As our Software Co-op Student, you will contribute to developing embedded software for our digital measurement instrument. You'll work with software deployed on a custom Linux distribution that connects to our cloud database to upload sensor data and control sensor components.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Reporting to the Software Manager, you will collaborate closely with the electronics team and the Machine Learning team.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL
- Troubleshoot sensor issues to ensure optimal performance and data accuracy.
- Design, develop and test C++ and Python code.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all software and system processes.
- Implement solutions following best practices in code quality and design.
- Test and debug solutions to ensure they meet requirements.
- Add other duties as assigned.
WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Engineering, Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python.
- Familiarity with Containers and Docker.
- Experience in a Linux development environment.
- Experience with Git version control.
WE VALUE, BUT DON’T REQUIRE
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with single board computers (e.g. Raspberry Pi, Nvidia Jetson)
- Experience with ROS.
- DevOps experience.

COMPENSATION
- $23/hr +vacation pay
